Welcome to The Book Brook, where we believe reading and relaxing go hand in hand.

We are an independent used book seller and we keep our customers at the front of everything we do.  We genuinely appreciate every single purchase from our store, so thank you for stopping by.

We carry a great range of preloved books that are all ready to find their new homes with you, and we update the site with new titles daily, so do remember to keep checking back!  If there are any books you are waiting for that we haven't listed yet, please drop us a message and we will put you on the waiting list.  You will then be notified when they are in stock.

We are also extending our brilliant range of gifting and accessories, so don't forget to take a sneaky peak for the perfect gift for the bookworm in your life!  (yes it is absolutely acceptable to gift to yourself - encouraged even!)

All of our standard used books are checked for quality and are given a rating so you know what condition the book is in.  Click here to read more details about our grading system.  We would like to have physical photographs of all of our titles, however this isn't always possible, so please be sure to check the condition label for your choices. 

All rare, collectable, specialist and antique titles will be graded as 'other' and will have photographs of the individual book you are purchasing alongside a specific write up of their condition.  We appreciate that these can be collectors items so feel free to drop us a message if you want to clarify anything before purchase.

We are currently working on an independent authors section where authors who have self published can sell their books (all new).  These prices are set by the authors themselves, who are guaranteed a majority profit for their work.   If you are an independent author please drop us a message to look at getting your latest work on our site.
