How much do you guys love books?
Loads. Like a silly amount. We are kind of sad to be selling them and not holding them ourselves. (We don't really get asked this that much, but we really want you guys to look after them, we miss them when they go!)
I want to buy this book. What do I do?
Simply double check you are happy with its condition rating then add it to your basket. You can either check out your basket now or continue shopping for more items.
I saw a book yesterday I wanted, but it's not there today!
Unfortunately some of our books can sell very quickly. We put stock numbers on the item description pages so that you can see how many we have in stock at any given time. We do upload more titles every day and so chances are, the book will be back in stock soon. Feel free to contact us with any special requests.
I want to buy more than one item. What do I do?
Just add the items you chose to your cart or basket. Please note, items in your basket are not taken from the website until payment is made so please be aware that they could sell while you are browsing.
How long will it take for my books to get to me? How does delivery work?
Our books are dispatched the next working day (If you order before 5pm) and are sent out via Royal Mail standard second class post. More information on our delivery and shipping can be found here.
I've changed my mind. What do I do?
No worries, just let us know within 30 days. Send the item/s back to us and we will process your refund. All of our returns information can be found on here.
How do I find a particular book?
If you know the title or author pop it in the search bar at the top of the page.
We think our search function is pretty special, just type however much you know about a book into it and it will give you as many options as we've got! For example, if you don't know the title but know it's a novel about a dog and there's a Character named Debbie in it, then types those words into the search. (In this case it would bring up 'Lessons from Tara')
Fancy reading a story involving love and a coffee shop? Write those key words into the search bar and see what comes up!
Can you suggest books that would make good gifts?
That all depends on the person you are buying for. Do they have a favourite book or author? Do they like a particular style of cover? How about a book published the same year they were born? Why not drop us a message with some details and we can see if we have anything in stock that fits the bill!
You don't have what I'm looking for.
Oh no! We're so sorry, that's a real shame. We are a small business and try to keep as much stock as we can, however we may sometimes fall short. If you are looking for a particular title or genre why not email us? We are very friendly and sometimes we can source titles on your behalf, or have them waiting for upload. If not, any feedback you have helps us improve our business and make The Book Brook better for you, our customers.

Do you collect books from the public?
Occasionally. I know that's not particularly clear, however we have to take into account the cost to collect and store the books until sale, so all offers are taken on a case by case basis.
The best thing to do is drop us an email at customerservice@thebookbrook.co.uk with the postcode for collection and a photograph of what you need collecting. Alternatively, give us a call on 07999 005 933 and we can discuss your needs.
